Okay…after watching this trailer, I’m officially excited about Donald Miller’s new movie:

Here’s hoping it comes to Shreveport!

It was really a very good adaptation, but it is told differently than the book- so don’t expect a word for word- the movie focuses on one part of the book and brings it into a more present context- a great movie though. But I think the book has an edge over the film.

I love the book…and that’s why I haven’t been excited about the movie adaptation. There’s no way they could do it word for word (and I’ve been afraid that they would lose too much in the process). But I think I see where they’re going with the movie, and so far, I think I like it! 🙂

I’m sure it helped to have Donald Miller involved in the screenwriting. Overall, I think the movie has the potential to be a turning point in the world of “Christian filmmaking!”
